Check out this interesting blog link. The 19th century saw the rise of many new technologies, the photograph being one of the most prominent. We are familiar with the unsmiling faces of the 1800s and our perceptions of the liveliness of those who lived in the Victorian Era (1837-1901) are often fleshed out only through indirect means. These trick photographs show some of the humor of the era.
