Mrs. Bond says she's flipped, what does that mean?
This is certainly a learning experience for me and I know for many of my students. That said, as the video shows I think it will alleviate some of the boredom in the classroom and allow me to challenge each student at their level.
The Flipped Classroom Model looks differently in different students and I am sure how it will works in my classroom will evolve over time. To start with I am hooking all of my classes up with Google Classroom and Khan Academy to very powerful (and FREE) resources. As I get better and as the students and I start exploring the possibilities we may add in some other components.
Google Classroom is the platform where the video lectures will be housed and all assignments, both in-class and homework assignments will be posted. If you click on the side bar for your (or your child's) class period you will still find the daily homework posting, but you will need to complete them by logging onto Google Classroom with your apps4pps.net account.
Khan Academy is where you can go to get extra practice that best suits you. Again, all students will be linked into my Khan Academy Coach account and there I will "assign" tasks for the whole class and individual tasks that better match to the skills you (your child) specifically needs to work on.
