The Curriculum Committee is a subcommittee of the Academic Senate. We review and make recommendations on all proposals to add, delete, or revise courses and programs, guided by policies and requirements set by the State, District, and College, including those regarding transfer, CTE, general education, and DEI/IDEAA. The Committee commits itself to College’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
ARC’s Curriculum Committee has dedicated itself to centering cultural humility into our practices. To accomplish this, we hope to advocate for faculty and staff populations to reflect student populations, starting with our own committee. As part of this work, we have developed an intentional review of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. Since a process like this requires continual revision, we seek feedback on making our review practices more transparent, accessible, and humanized.
The three most important documents most faculty developers need are linked below. They guide us through the parts of a course outline, remind us of key dates each year, and offer a quick & transparent glimpse into expected feedback.
