Visual Art Objectives:
Identify works of various major artists, art styles, historical backgrounds, and cultural influences
Identify the similarities and differences between the visual arts and the elements of art in other art areas
Identify, understand, and apply the elements of visual art to create the principles of design (pattern, balance, proportion, variety, unity, rhythm, and emphasis) in works of art using a variety of media
Demonstrate the ability to discuss works of art using the appropriate vocabulary of visual arts
