Class Expectations

The nature of the course allows students to choose how to use their time during class. However, this does not give students the right to disturb other students in the class. It is my desire that every student in my class will be successful and that each student will learn as much as they can. I believe that every student has the right to work in peace, in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, and to be treated with the same respect that I wish to be treated.

I will not tolerate behavior that interferes with student learning or my ability to teach. I will abide by and enforce the district and school policies. My general class expectations are not limited to but include the following:

• Be respectful of those around you.
• Be responsible for your own learning and always do your best.
• Be in your assigned seat when the tardy bell rings and ready to learn.
• Be prepared with supplies and assignments every day.
• Come to class with a positive attitude.
• Eat before or after class time. No food or drink (except water in a clear container) in the classroom. This is a safety issue!
• Headgear and sunglasses must be removed upon entering the classroom.
• No electronic devices will be used in the classroom unless specifically permitted by the teacher. Otherwise, they will be confiscated.
• No personal grooming in the classroom. This is a safety issue!
