Education and Career Pathways
The Education Pathway is a structured sequence of courses, work experiences, and related learning opportunities designed to develop skills and knowledge that will introduce you to a career in education. In addition, some students can earn an endorsement on their transcript if they complete the following requirements:Â
Career Exploration
Financial Literary exploration
Career Assessment/Interest Inventory
2 career exploration activities
Dual Credit
6 hours of post-secondary credit through SVCC-one class may be Intro Psychology (PSY 103),other classes include EDU 102, EDU 105, EDU 210, ECE 118, and ECE 228
Team Based-Based Challenges
Participate in 2 team-based challenges
60 Hour Supervised Experience
Complete 60 hour supervised work experience
Individualized Learning Plan
Complete and individualized learning plan
Demonstrate College and Career Readiness
Meet College and Career Readiness standards in Math and English/Language Arts through one of the following:
AP, dual-credit, Transitional Math, Algebra II (all with a C or better), or minimum ACT(English 18, Reading 22, Math 22 AND a senior year math course) or SAT (Reading + Writing 540, Math 540 AND a senior year math course) scores.

If you are interested in pursuing the Education Pathway, please speak with Mr. Kolton,Ms. Bus, or Ms. Crownhart during the registration process prior to your junior year of high school. Students can participate in the pathway without meeting the college and career readiness standards required for the endorsement.
