We are deeply saddened to announce that we are cancelling our 2020 Alta Gala. With the recent increases in cases of Covid-19 and the Governor’s recommendation to not hold gatherings over 100 people, Alta Community Enrichment, Alta Historical Society, and Friends of Alta have decided that it best for our supporters if we do not hold the Alta Gala.
Over the last 14 years, the Alta Gala has become a staple for end of the ski season events. We are truly thankful for all the support we receive year-in and year-out from the Alta Ski Area, Town of Alta employees, local business, and from our sponsors. While we will not be having the Gala at LaCaille, we will still be conducting a live auction during April for everyone to go and bid on marked down items and support Alta’s nonprofits. The online auction is still being developed and more information will be released soon, but we strongly encourage everyone to get on and bid!
For ticket purchasers, please consider donating the price you paid for your ticket to the non-profits. While we would appreciate your donation, we will provide a refund upon request. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the email subject “ALTA GALA 2020 TICKET - #yourname#”, and please specify in the email how you want your ticket purchase to be handled.
Thank you for supporting us and our mission to keep Alta the best little ski town in the world. We look forward to seeing you all on the interwebs in April! Keep an eye out for updates.
The Alta Gala is a collaborative fundraiser for Alta Community Enrichment, Friends of Alta & Alta Historical Society. The goal is not only to raise money but to raise awareness of these three 501c3 nonprofits in Alta, Utah.
