Projects:

Computing Fundamentals Project:

Create a project to prove what you know and have learned about computer hardware, software, using an operating system, and/or troubleshooting.

  • Create a PowerPoint presentation on the topic, which must include:

    • At LEAST 15 slides (it is better if you have more)

    • First slide should be the Title Slide.

    • Use more than the Title Slide and Title and Content layouts.

    • No more than 10 words in the entire presentation (including the title of the slide)

      • If you feel like you need to put more, put the words in the Notes

    • Must have media (image, video, chart, or graphic) on at least two slides (no more than 2 pieces of media per slide)

    • Must use animations (no more than 2 per slide)

    • Must use transitions (you may use the same one for all of the slides)

    • NO "THE END" SLIDE!!!!!

    • Create a Word document on the topic, which must include:

    • You must have multiple pages on the document, which should include at least FOUR of the following (but should NOT include ALL):

      • A table (no bulleted or numbered lists in the table)

      • A bulleted list (NOT in a table)

      • A numbered list (NOT in a table)

      • Page numbers

      • Columns

      • Different margins (other than 1-inch all around)

      • Different page orientation

    • Create an Excel spreadsheet on the topic, which must include:

    • Some type of formula

    • Some type of function

    • An appropriate chart

  • Show me the files of your project when you are done.

  • Save your files into the "ePortfolio items" folder on your Google Drive.

  • Add your files to your ePortfolio

Living Online Project:

Create a project to prove what you know and have learned about browsers, networks, digital communication, digital citizenship, safe computing, and/or research fluency.

  • Create a PowerPoint presentation on the topic, which must include:

    • At LEAST 5 slides (it is better if you have more)

    • First slide should be the title slide.

    • Use more than the Title Slide and Title and Content layouts.

    • No more than 6 words per slide (including the title of the slide)

      • If you feel like you need to put more, put the words in the Notes

    • Must have media (image, video, chart, or graphic) on at least two slides (no more than 2 pieces of media per slide)

    • Must use animations (no more than 2 per slide)

    • The two-page or six-page document must have page numbers

    • One document must have columns

    • One document must have different margins (other than 1-inch all around)

    • One document must change page orientation

    • Create an Excel spreadsheet on the topic, which must include:

    • Some type of formula

    • Some type of function

    • An appropriate chart

  • Show me the files of your project when you are done.

  • Save your files into the "ePortfolio items" folder on your Google Drive.

  • Add your files to your ePortfolio.
