Greetings!
My research interest is in coating silanized metals with organic materials for better organic-inorganic bonding.
In the past, I have miniaturized the Comet-assay technique, which is a single-cell electrophoresis technique, for a potential application in the field. I have also tested coated aluminum alloy Al2024 under the setting of stress corrosion cracking. Because the funding source came (comes) from NASA, these projects have been tailored to space missions.
The research capacity of my demonstrated work is primarily on microfluidics, thermoelasticity, and linearly elastic fracture mechanics, as well as the fluorescence spectrometry that I have been gradually picking up along the course of the V-Comet project. By using these tools, I have worked on the topics such as miniaturization of microdialysis, characterization of PDMS-PDMS bonding, development of a new fast-prototyping technique for making microchannels, and thermomechanical modeling of some types of electronic packaging.
