According to educational consultant Jay McTighe, transfer "refers to the ability to apply one's learning to a new situation beyond the particulars of how it was learned. Transfer is about independent performance in context--when you can apply your learning without someone telling you what to do and when to do it."
We are aware that as students leave high school to pursue a job in the workforce or continue their education, they are likely to encounter new information, issues, and circumstances that will require critical thinking, problem-solving, empathy, communication, etc. Our goal is to help them navigate those situations successfully by providing a variety of opportunities that require application of these very skills.
