Life Skills

Life Skills Reporting

This year we will be reporting "life skills" separately from the academic grade on the quarterly report cards. The four life skills are: Participation, Behavior, Work Completion and Working in a Group. Students will be assessed on four levels: CONsistently - meets expectations; USUally meets expectations; OCCasionally meets expectations; RARely meets expectations. We feel that the life skills are critically important for each and every student, and by separating them from the academic grade, we can provide more detailed information about a student's overall performance in school. The academic grade will represent what your child knows and is able to do in the subject area. The life skills will let you know more about who they are in class, their habits and behaviors, and how they are doing in relation to their academic performance.
