Wrestling Programs at AGWSR!

The AGWSR Mat Club will be holding registration for the 2017-2018 Kids & Middle School Wrestling Club season at the dates and times below. The Wrestling Program offers three different instructional levels.

1. PURPLE Level Team (beginner) – The PURPLE team will be for all wrestlers in grades K-2. This team will practice for 1 hour 2 times per week. The Red Team registration will be Monday Nov 14 from 6-7pm. The Red team’s first practice will be Mon Nov 14th 6 -7pm. PURPLE team coaches will be Dustin Meyer, Jim Gronewold, Tyler Wagner, and high school wrestlers. The main focus will be a fun introduction to wrestling.

2. BLACK & GOLD Level Team (intermediate/advanced)- The Black & Gold team will consist of all wrestlers in grades (3-5). The Black & Gold Team’s first practice will be Monday Nov at 7pm; you must register prior to practicing. Registration will be open 7pm before practice. The main focus will be an introduction to wrestling and preparation for competition. Black & Gold team coaches will be Dustin Meyer, James Abbas, Chad Gerbracht, Hunter Wagner, Drew Brandt and high school wrestlers.

3. Middle School – Future Champs (advanced) – The Future Champs team will consist of all wrestlers in grades 6-8. The Future Champ’s first practice will be Monday Nov 14th at 7pm; you must register prior to practicing. Registration will be open from 7-8pm. (**The regular school season for AGWSR Middle School runs from Nov 10th^{- February 25th} , this club is designed to prepare them for post season tournaments and beyond). The main focus will be preparing the wrestlers to compete in meets and tournaments. We strongly recommend all middle school wrestlers join the Future Champs team in preparation for their season. This team will be coached by Chad Gerbracht, Hunter Wagner, Tyler Wagner, James Abbas, and high school wrestlers.
