Map Lab Phase 3 - Dealing with Distances: Map Scale

Students should read Section 1.5 of Geography Alive! Chapter 1 on page 18 and watch the video explaining how to use Scale to measure distance on a map. The video is on the Class Videos Subpage of the Videos Page of this site under Map Scale Videos.

Students will need a notecard or piece of paper to make their own Scale Strip to use to measures distances in order to successfully answer the 10 provided questions. Students need to mark their own maps to show their work in practicing using scale.
