Assignment: Select one of your favorite authors/Illustrators that you have currently or have had in the past. Once you have chosen a one, you will research your author/Illustrator to find out what lead them to writing and share interesting information you have found about them. Once you have located this information you will also write a review for one of their books you have read and what you liked about it. All of this will be presented in either a Smore poster or through code.org for everyone to view.
Step 1:
Research the author.
Answer question: What got them interested in writing?
At least 5 other pieces of information about them or what you found interesting.
What Genre do they write in? (Mystery, Historical, Sci Fi, Fantasy, Dystopian)

Another great source for online books is Epic. It is free for teachers and their students. Students can use this for free during school hours , 7am-4pm local time, Monday-Friday.

Step 2
Write a Book Review:
Your book review needs to be a paragraph giving an overview of the book. The last sentence or two should give your thoughts on the book and why you would recommend it.
Step 3
Design your Poster:
Using PowerPoint or Smore.com or code.org you will then take this information and arrange it onto the poster or code.org creation. Included in the poster should be the book review, information on the author and at least 2 pictures.
