There are two multi-age preschool classes at Mary Hogan. We make up one of the teams and are thrilled to work together! We share a similar teaching style, philosophy, and passion for our work.
Miss Kim is an early childhood special educator and preschool teacher. She loves creating with children, making their learning visible through documentation, and adventuring with children in the community.
Miss Laura is an assistant teacher in Miss Kim's classroom and enjoys documenting children's growth and development. She is skilled in meeting each child where they are and helping children bring their stories to life.
Miss Katie is an assistant teacher in Miss Kim's classroom and shares her passion for cooking and baking with children. She cultivates curiosity and inspires an appreciation for the natural world.
We are super fortunate to work with some incredible folks that provide specialized services and consult with us to make our program work for all children! You will likely hear about these individuals as they become part of our extended classroom community!
Miss Meghan is a speech and language pathologist. She supports children within our program with language-based needs as well as preschoolers in outreach settings.
Miss Taryn is a physical therapist and provides consultative services to our preschool program. Taryn visits our classroom each week on Tuesdays. We LOVE when Taryn comes to play!
Miss Emily is an occupational therapist. She is currently on maternity leave. She has been involved in our program for several years. Emily is a quiet and kind presence in our classroom.
A couple more of our favorite people...
Miss Jessie has worked with us as both a long-term substitute and on an as-needed basis. Jessie is so amazing that the elementary school also wants her time; we get to see and spend moments with her regularly. Jessie has a huge heart and we are so lucky she spends time with us!
Nana started coming in to read with us as a volunteer when her granddaughter, the wonderful and spunky Frankie Houghton, was a preschooler in our classroom. We fell in love with Nana and her stories and she agreed to keep reading with us - we are so grateful to her!
