Guidelines for Parents Purchasing Uniforms
The school uniform is an important part of our identity, and we take pride in ensuring that our boys are appropriately dressed on designated days. The guidelines below are intended to help parents determine a suitable number of uniform sets based on their child’s timetable, CCA commitments, school events, and personal comfort.
Given Singapore’s warm weather, many boys prefer wearing the PE shirt on most days, paired with Bermudas (Lower Secondary) or Long Pants (Upper Secondary).
✅School Uniform, White Shirt with Bermudas (Lower Sec) or Long Pants (Upper Sec)
Compulsory every Friday.
Students must wear their school tie during Chapel.
✅PE Shirt with Bermudas (Lower Sec) or Long Pants (Upper Sec)
Allowed on any school day except Friday.
✅PE Shirt with PE Shorts
Students may wear the PE shirt and change into PE shorts for the PE lesson.
House singlets are usually worn during house events such as Interhouse Games Day and Cross Country, and may also be worn during PE lessons.
CCA Shirts
May be worn only during CCA sessions.
Additional Items
Parents may purchase additional school badges, optional ACS Barker–labelled socks, and school ties (Lower and Upper Secondary) from the school bookshop.

To promote sustainability, we hold a pre-loved uniform recycling drive twice a year, in June and November. This allows parents to donate their child’s gently used uniforms and also submit a wish list of items they need. Donations are then matched with requests so families can pick up uniforms, helping to reduce waste and support the school community. Do look out for our blurb for this exercise in your level chats!
We encourage parents to refer to these guidelines when purchasing uniforms to ensure their child has the appropriate attire for each day while maintaining comfort, practicality, and sustainability.
Students may refer to the School Handbook under 'General Uniform Etiquette' for guidelines on how the uniform should be worn. e.g. tucked in etc.
