"A committee needs more members than those officially designated in order to get the work done!"
Notice: The previous listserv cptyc-l@mail.aapt.org is NOT available anymore.
Esteemed volunteers are managing our new e-mail list now, in the form of a google group:
(the AT means @, should be typed as @, but we are trying to avoid web scanners here)
How do I join a Google Group email?
If you have a google account:
Sign in to Google Groups (or just google "google groups").
Click All groups and find the group that you want to join.
Click "Ask To Join" group.
Without a google account:
Complete this form and we will add you to the google group (allow for some time lag).
Let's remain connected through this new e-mail list, our slack account (see info below), and also through AAPT's COMMUNITIES.
Join our TYC slack account here: TYCPhysics
Slack is a more informal, active and effective way to collaborate.
Slack can be accessed via desktop browser, or as a cellphone app, etc.Submit your suggestion for a journal club session, or a presentation, or a short workshop, etc, directly to faridian_forouzan AT smc.edu and denicog AT sunysuffolk.edu. Then the new event will be inserted in the calendar below. Please wait until the event is in the calendar before you move forward. Concerning dates/times, in general we have been focusing on Friday afternoons.
Presenters: we ask that you take care of the advertisement for the new event you proposed. Send an e-mail to the TYC google group, AAPT communities friends of the committee of Physics in Two Year Colleges or the CPTYC slack channel one week before the event, and a reminder one day before. Thank you for your contributions.
Update: folks, unfortunately we do not have the calendar account permissions to make the details of each event clear to you. Right now, there's only a "BUSY" sign showing for each event. We hope to fix this in the future, or will have to remove this feature in the future...
