TELEVISION SHIPPING RATES

The larger the television the more likely it will be damaged in transit if not crated or palletized.  If not appropriate packed for the type of shipment, the carrier will deny any claim for damages.  Frequently carrier insurance has a deductible of $300-500.00 USD or more.

For monitors or televisions up to 32 inches, a system such as this may be adequate to protect shipment by parcel service.  EPE USA - also sold on Amazon

For larger televisions, up to 86”, packing kits such as this are only appropriate for cargo being shipped palletized or crated, or white glove mover service.   They cannot be shipped safely with a loose parcel or freight service without crating or palletization.

Television “road cases” are also appropriate means of protection during transit.

The dimensions of the packed box, case, crate or pallet are critical to correct estimation of shipping costs as most television shipments will have costs assessed the dimensional weight rated from inches as L x W x H / 139.

The most cost effective shipping of televisions are when they are crated or palletized with other cargo and the large, boxed television is placed down the middle of the pallet with boxes on each side to protect the screen.
