How the rates work: Please use this contact form to receive a customized rate/quote.
rates start at 100 kg / 220 lbs: Smaller shipments can be quoted, but the per lb or per kg rate will be higher. Even for smaller shipments an airport to airport cargo rate may be significantly lower than USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL;
the lowest rates are for commercial cargo: baggage or personal effects shipments are usually about 10-20% per lb higher that the rates for commercial cargo.
the lowest rates are from: the larger US cargo airports to the largest cargo airports of the country destination, but the USA has a "feeder network" of terminals in dozens of metro areas around the USA where cargo can be delivered to the airlines and then transferred by truck to the larger international cargo airports such as DTW, ORD, JFK, MIA, LAX, CVG, IAH and ATL. The exact cost of the "ADD ON" portion of the rate is contingent upon the origin location of the cargo;
trucking: cargo can be trucked from any address in the USA to the nearest airport that feeds into the larger USA international cargo airports or can be trucked directly to the larger airport. The exact cost of trucking can be quoted and added onto the air rate;
discounts: from the 100 kg / 220 rate are available for shipment of more than 440 lbs or 200 kg;
clearing, duties and final delivery overseas: most air cargo customers will perform these services themselves or hire an agent in the foreign country to do these services for them. Once the air cargo is in transit, the recipient or consignee can take their shipping documents and quickly obtain the most competitive rates from clearing agents and courier that operate in proximity to each foreign airport. Or, the recipient/consignee can simply contact the destination terminal and inquire about the "self clearing" documents and procedures.
chargeable weight: a density factor of 10.4 lbs per cubic foot is applied to each piece shipped.
transit times: are based upon the scheduled flights and space available.
