Review

I would rate this book a 5/5. I really enjoyed it for a number of reasons. I liked all of the drama and I liked the characters, especially Susannah. There wasn't really a dull moment either. There was always something going on whether Belly got invited to the biggest party in town or Jeremiah was singing the soundtrack to Grease on a table into a karaoke mic. The way the book was formatted was also engaging. Every couple of chapters or so, there would be a flashback to a previous summer, so that as the characters progressed, you would learn more about their backstory. And, you wouldn't know this until after you've finished the book, but the story definitely moved toward a very extravagant finish with a major turning point at the end. The only negative thing I would say is that for me personally at some points it was difficult to relate to the main character, but that is very specific to me.
