Salmon Study Resource Board
Use the resource board below to learn all you can about the stories connected to water, salmon, their habitat, and more. Each link will take you to another page within The Salmon Spot. Use the menu bar (three lines) at the top to find your way back to main page. Spend some time noticing and wondering, so you are growing your understanding about Chinook salmon and their unique existence on planet Earth.
It will be helpful to keep a journal with notes, drawings, questions, etc. to organize your thinking throughout the salmon project.
Happy Salmon Handshake Activity
Align your arms with your partner in a ‘zipper’ fashion.
The palms of your hands should be aligned with the forearms of your partner.
Gently slap your hands back and forth against your partner’s forearms, duplicating the sound of the salmon tails slapping against one another.
Salmon handshake partner discussion question:
“Salmon have many challenges like swimming upstream to spawn. Discuss with your Salmon handshake partner something that currently challenges you.”
