Ada Limón is an American poet of Mexican heritage known for writing that blends personal experience, nature, grief, and identity with accessible language and vivid imagery. She served as the 24th U.S. Poet Laureate, the first Latina with this honor. She has also received a Guggenheim Fellowship, a MacArthur Fellowship, and numerous literary awards for her contributions to contemporary poetry.
