Grounded in the present, clouds come down
Surrounded by people but no one’s around
In this place it’s just me and my thoughts
This world around me, I’ve completely forgot
Gliding with birds or flying through stars
In this whole universe, everything's ours
A voice appears, asking “can you read?”
In a haste I wake, grumbling “where are we?”
Stuck at home but not confined
Free to wander just outside
Branches swaying side-to-side
Nature is only but too kind
Days are bright and full of sun
Somehow we have broken the curse
Though times are tough it could be worse
6 feet’s easy when there’s room to run
Grass and twigs jut out
Like spears lodged in muddy earth
The eels lie in wait
Fortress, tall and strong
A thousand armies lay siege
Not yet at their end
Leaping up to breach the walls
Streaks of silver through the air
