We’ll skip the phase where we look across the room and both look away

Instead I’ll get lost in her eyes and she too will hold her gaze

I won’t have to think about what to say

Words will just flow from our mouths 

And when they run out that’s okay

I want to be with her in silence

Where nothing needs to be said 

to know how much we love each other

I want to love her not like everyday is my last

but like we have an entire future to spend together

I want to put sunscreen on my face just cuz she told me I needed more

I want her to talk me out of buying a pack of oreos at the store

I want to walk down the street holding her hand and stepping in sync

I want to hug her from behind as we cook and she’ll tell me I’m in the way 

But she’ll look at me like we just fell in love
