"Class of 2027" Incoming 9th Grade Family Information/Forecasting Presentation with Melissa and Emily (4/19/2023)

Welcome incoming 9th grade students and families!  We know that life and learning has been challenging, but we also know that you have grown and connected in many ways. We see you as an incredibly resilient and resourceful group and are excited to meet you!

It is our goal at SEHS to provide a seamless transition from middle school to high school.  On this website you will find much of the information needed to get started.

If you need additional information or support, please feel free to contact:

Scott Pierce, 9th Grade Transition Coordinator (pierce_s@4j.lane.edu

Melissa Martinez, 9th Grade Counselor (martinez_m@4j.lane.edu)

We are happy to help!

We encourage students to participate in one of the many summer programs including Summer Bridge, UO Sail, or the 4J Summer Intensive Program. The summer intensives provide opportunities for students to extend their learning into the summer months led by outstanding 4J licensed educators.  Course offerings reflect the curiosities and passions of both students and teachers.  Courses will be held, onsite at all four high schools depending on the teacher and facility. As summer nears, look on our webpage for a list of dates, locations and course descriptions. Students may register for any course, regardless of their home high school.

Students are limited to enrollment in one course to ensure there is enough space for all those interested. We will make an announcement directly to families and on the district page in late June about any courses opening for a second enrollment. Look on our website or this page for registration dates. Summer is around the corner!
