Having trouble with Seesaw?

Here are a couple of ideas to consider:

    • Restart the iPad.

    • Students should use “save draft” if they know that they are going to return to the activity later.

    • Students should periodically hit the green checkmark to save work.

    • Students should select the green “add response” button and not just click on the image of the assignment.

    • Keep in mind that bandwidth can be an issue as can the number of people getting online at the same time.

    • Some students have shared that they have been cutting and pasting their answers into another word document so that they can paste them back in if necessary.

    • Navigating between apps can be frustrating on an iPad because you can’t have several tabs or windows open simultaneously. We’re not sure if splitting the screen in two in order to have two apps open at a time would be helpful, but here’s a link if your child might want to try it: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207582

    • Some students have been accessing Seesaw through Chromebook and have discovered that the interface works more smoothly on an iPad.

    • When watching videos, students can change the speed in settings of the video.
