About Me

I was born and raised right here in Hickman County. While I moved away to further my education—obtaining my Master’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State University—my heart never left home. Ten years ago, I made the intentional choice to move back to Hickman County with my wife and son to raise our family and invest my professional experience into the community that shaped me.

I am a husband, a father, and a professional who believes in our future. I’m running for Hickman County Commission, District 7, because I have the executive experience to handle our county’s business and the local heart to protect our community's character.

My Priorities for District 7

• Responsible Land Use Planning & Preservation: As our county grows, we must be proactive. I am committed to planning that respects our rural heritage and protects our natural resources, ensuring development is sustainable and makes sense for our residents.

• Economic Development & Job Growth: As a small business owner and Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, I will be a tireless advocate for job growth. We need to foster an environment where our citizens can find quality opportunities right here at home.

• Tourism Tax Dollars: Through my work with local festivals and attractions, I’ve seen how tourism can bring revenue into our county without increasing the tax burden on our residents. I will work to maximize these "outside" dollars to fund local improvements and services.

• Public Safety: Supporting our local law enforcement and first responders is a top priority. I will work to ensure they have the resources and training necessary to keep our neighborhoods safe.

• Fiscal Accountability: With my background as a Director of Operations, I will bring professional oversight to the county budget, ensuring every tax dollar is spent effectively and transparently.

My Commitment to Hickman County

• Vice President, Hickman County Chamber of Commerce: Working directly with local business owners to foster economic growth.

• Chairman, Hickman County Attractions: Leading a team of volunteers to produce events that attract tourism, increasing opportunities and quality of life for our citizens.

• Chairman, National Banana Pudding Festival: Overseeing the team behind one of our county’s most iconic traditions.

• Assistant Scoutmaster, Troop 772: Mentoring our youth through Scouting America, helping them build the character needed to lead the next generation.

• Strategic Initiatives: Spearheading the effort to consolidate local boards—including the Ag Board and the Ag and Arts Foundation—to ensure maximum efficiency for our residents.

At Home in District 7

The Swan Creek Community is home. My wife, Staci, and I are proud to be raising our son here, and it is where I operate my small business, RSB Company. Whether I’m training for an endurance race on our backroads or assisting a flag retirement ceremony with the Scouts of Troop 772, I am fully invested in the success of this county.
