General

Control Position

Lighting

Standard Rig

After your show, the rig must be returned to standard unless otherwise agreed with Theatre@41 prior to your hire

The standard rig includes:

• Frontlight - LED and generic fresnels

• Front fill - Generic profiles

• Downlight - LED PARs

• Sidelight - LED PARs

• Backlight - Generic fresnels

• Company-adjustable Specials - 2x profiles, which are easily accessible from balcony using short stepladder

• Houselights - Generic floods which can be controlled from the lighting desk or control panel in technical control booth

Dimmers and Constant Power

• 36 channels of Zero 88 Chilli dimmers

  • Each of the three 12 channel dimmer racks has single phase supply with a maximum power capacity of 20A or 4600W

  • Please contact us as soon as possible if you have any questions or concerns about the maximum power levels

  • Channels 33-36 are usually used for the house lights

• 12 ways of hot power

  • Maximum capacity 40A or 9200W across all circuits

  • Note the hot power circuits cannot be switched on/off individually

• 15A Hard patch panel

  • Allows any outlet to be patched to any dimmer or to hot power

Data Distribution

• 1x Showtec DB 1-8 DMX Splitter

• All DMX outlets are fully patchable

Lighting Bars

• • 5 lighting bars labelled Bar A to E downstage to upstage

  • LX Bars A, B, C and D - each bar has:

    • 230kg max uniformly distributed load

    • 115kg max centre point load

    • 10x 15A power sockets

    • 2x 5 pin DMX sockets

  • LX Bar E

    • Limited weight capacity

    • 5x 15A power sockets

Additional lighting points

• 2 floor level panels, each with:

  • 1x Socapex outlet

  • 2x 5 pin DMX sockets

• 2x additional socapex lines from the patch panel to the lighting bars

Additional and Touring Power

• 13A sockets around studio

• No touring power available

Restrictions for lighting bars

• • It is not possible to access the lanterns on LX Bar B (except for the very edges) whilst the standard seating rack is in place. Please let us know as soon as possible if you require access to this bar during your hire period for rigging or focusing

  • Visiting companies may not adjust, move or de-rig the projector on LX Bar B or the speakers on LX Bars A and D

  • It is not possible to illuminate the upstage centre position from the centre of LX Bar A as the light would be blocked by the projector on LX Bar B
