General Program FAQs

Is this a UPK program?

No, this district does not have a UPK program.  Our district has a unique model for Pre-K.  The Pre-K program is 2.5 hours long and focuses on literacy and math as well as provides time for play, center time, and carpet time.

To create a full day program, parents have the option to add the Patriot Plus Enrichment program, which carries a tuition fee with it.  In that program, students stay for lunch and recess, and then spend time in a small classroom setting that incorporates STEM activities.  By adding the Enrichment option, children spend a full day with us at school.

What days and times do the Pre-K program and Patriot Plus Enrichment program take place?

The half-day Pre-K and full-day Pre-K Patriot PLUS Enrichment programs both take place five days per week, Monday-Friday, and run on the following times:

Nassakeag & Minnesauke: Half day AM- 8:00-10:30; Half day PM- 12:00-2:30

Full day- 8:00-2:30

Arrowhead, Mount, & Setauket: Half day AM- 8:45-11:15; Half day PM- 12:45-3:15

Full day- 8:45-3:15

Students enrolled in the full-day program will eat lunch in the cafeteria and enjoy recess on the Pre-K playground between the morning and afternoon sessions.

The full day program is comprised of half-day Pre-K plus half-day Enrichment, with lunch and recess in between.

Does the Pre-K calendar follow the district calendar?

The Pre-K program follows the Three Village district calendar.  If there is no school for elementary students, there is no school for Pre-K students as well.

There is no school for Pre-K students during February parent/teacher conferences.

The last day of Pre-K and Enrichment classes will be the last full day of elementary school.

In the event of a two-hour delay due to inclement weather, AM Pre-K & Enrichment is canceled.  Full-day programs begin on the PM arrival schedule for both Pre-K students and Enrichment students - Minnesauke & Nassakeag students would arrive at 12:00; Arrowhead, Mount, & Setauket students would arrive at 12:45.

In the event of a delayed opening or early dismissal, information will be shared through district notification.

Any other calendar changes would be communicated to families as they arise.
