Once you have finished recording a video in Soapbox, you will be taken to the edit page. Follow the steps below to edit your videos.

Step 1: Adjust the Start and End

If you took a little time to get into the swing of things during your recording, don’t worry! Using the timeline toolbar, you can drag the beginning and end of your video to wherever you like with the scissor icons.

Step 2: Adjust What You See

You can also decide what your audience will see at any given point in your recording. You can choose between showing just your camera, your screen, or a combination of both. When you want to change the view, click on a point in the timeline and select one of the three options.

Step 3: Finish and Share

NOTE: Before continuing to the Customize and Share sections, make sure the video is 100% uploaded in the Edit section. This is signified by a green "Saved" with a check mark on the top-right of the screen. This is to ensure the final exported video does not have technical glitches.

Once you are happy with your video, move to the Customize page. There, you can edit the name of your video and you'll also be able to take a nice photo for your video's thumbnail.

NOTE: When titling your video, include the course code followed by the video title for better video organization

ex: MATH-101-01 "video title"

When you are ready, move on to the “Share” page.

  • Click on the “Export to Wistia” button.

  • Select your project from the drop down menu

  • Once again click the “Export to Wistia”.

Now, clicking the export date will take you directly to your video in Wistia
