Public Library Resources

Public Library Cards

Public library cards are an essential tool for remote access to digital resources including eBooks, audiobooks, databases, and magazines. If you do not have a public library card in NYC, you can register for one using the link for the specific system. There are three public library systems serving New York City including New York Public Library (Manhattan, Bronx, and Staten Island), Brooklyn Public Library, and Queens Public Library.

Click on any of the three library systems listed below to access their collections. If you already have a MyLibraryNYC and forgot your barcode and/or PIN, contact Mrs. Falconieri on Jupiter.

SimplyE - provides access to an array of digital resources, including eBooks and audiobooks, as well as databases available.

eCard Application - provides access to eBooks, eAudiobooks, and databases.

eCards

· If you don’t t already have a library card, you can apply for a BPL eCard, which will give you access to eBooks, eAudiobooks, and databases. You do not need a BPL eCard if you already have a regular BPL library card or a MyLibraryNYC card. (If you have trouble remembering your barcode or PIN for the usage of some of the databases , such as the online homework help called Brainfuse, or BookFlix, etc. contact me through Jupiter and I will be able to assist you).

· The online eCard application is here: https://disc.bklynlibrary.org/ecard/Default.aspx

· BPL eCards (just like a regular card) only give a patron access to BPL's collection and databases and not the other library systems in NYC.
