Volunteer Opportunities
Executive Board Positions
President – Preside over all meetings, ex-officio member of committees, supervision over general affairs, and perform duties helpful to WHS Band Boosters.
Vice-President – Shall act as an aide to the president, perform duties in the absence of the president, Assume other responsibilities assigned by the Executive Board.
Secretary – Keep accurate records of proceeding of all meetings, conduct correspondence, and perform other duties assigned.
Treasurer – Prepare and present annual budget, receive and deposit monies, keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures, payout funds as authorized by the WHS Band Boosters.
Committee Positions
(all positions may be held as co-committee positions)
Craft Show Coordinator – Presides over all aspects of the yearly WHS Craft Show held the first Saturday in December. Committees under this position include and are not limited to: Concessions, Crafter Check-in, Raffle Table, Publicity, and more.
Scholarship Committee– This committee works toward the distribution of scholarship applications and awarding of scholarships for eligible current WHS band participants.
Publicity Chair – Contact local press to schedule coverage of WHS Band events throughout the year.
Spirit Wear – Coordinate with band director the design, ordering, sales, and distribution of WHS Band apparel. This committee works with the vendor and organizes the sale. (August commitments, minimal during the rest of the year.)
Uniform Committee – Organize and assist with fitting and distribution and collecting of uniforms, coordinate with the cleaning service for pick up and drop off of uniforms (August and May commitments, minimal during marching season)
Flamingos – Prepare and present annual budget, receive and deposit monies, keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures, payout funds as authorized by the WHS Band Boosters.
