Biographies

Elaine Ashcraft

Elaine has always had a passion for the dramatic since High School, but this part of her life really took off after High School when she took drama lessons at the Indiana Repertory Theater prior to its 2nd Season.

She and a friend where asked during the Summer of ’73 to take part in a fall production of Our Town playing a Townsperson and a choir member and from there she was hooked. Next, she became involved with Civic Theater and worked behind scenes on Desperate Hours, Life with Father, Glass Menagerie, Bell, Book & Candle and George M – she also appeared in The Time of Your Life as “Lorene”, a man-hungry woman and in How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying as “Secretary”.

Elaine then took time off to raise a family and has now decided to re-ignite her former passion – by becoming re-involved in theater that has a purpose of reaching the lost and hurting. She last worked behind the scenes as Assistant Stage Manager on the production of Agape and is now making her acting debut after being away from the stage since her younger years.

Elaine would like to THANK GOD for her husband Steve, who is no longer with us and has given her five sons along with 2 adopted sons and 4 grandchildren, which are her second loves as she places GOD as her first and foremost LOVE for without Him she can accomplish nothing. She also wants to thank her family and friends who have supported her through the thick and thin of life.

Sakeri Eden (Wolfe)

Sakeri, always having a passion towards the fine arts, began branching out to follow a dream from childhood. Having no real major education on the subject, most of Sakeri’s knowledge was self-taught. While this is Sakeri’s first debut she has had some experience with taking on other roles in the past. Crafting and acting out skits at conventions, Sakeri took on personas of other characters at cosplay affairs and now looks forward to this opportunity for her debut.

An arts enthusiast Sakeri dabbles in other creative passions. Being a photographer, artist, writer, and singer in her church’s praise band, she finds time to enjoy the arts in her spare time. Working as a custodian on the side Sakeri is seeking to broaden her horizons.

Sakeri would love to thank her family and friends for all their support through all the trials and tests. She is extremely grateful to her partner of six years for all the wonderful love and help he has given. She is also in sincere gratitude for the wonderful team of people who have worked on this production. Lastly, she is in a debt of appreciation to “The Man Upstairs” that makes everything possible!!! <3

Doug Robbins

Doug is an actuary by trade, but an actor and youth leader at heart. He loves using his talents and gifts for Christ. And one way he does that is to produce and co- direct shows with his wife Theresa, and even direct the shows when she is on stage. He is also a gifted pianist and loves to write original music. He is a Mahler fan for classical music, a Cubs and Saints fan for sports, but his favorite pastime is traveling with his wife seeing Broadway shows in NYC, seeing TV shows taped in California, and visiting National Parks across the USA.

He has been seen on stage as "Mr. Gower" in It's A Wonderful Life, George Bailey as well as numerous skits. His most recent performance was as "Jesus" in AOTM Drama Troupe's production of The Promise then and Now. He and his wife love serving as leaders of AOTM Drama Purity Youth Group and Drama Troupe which they co-founded 14 years ago and most recently had their first mission trip with the kids leading a Drama Camp in Atlanta Georgia. Doug also wrote the book "My Father, My Hero" and is working on his second book.

Theresa Robbins

Theresa has been in love with the Arts since High School, especially Musical Theatre, having been bit by the bug from moving to choir to Fiddler on the Roof as "Shprintze". This love has never left her, as she and her husband love to take groups of people to see touring shows they fall in love with, while traveling across the USA -- especially those they catch on Broadway or making their debut in California.

Her favorite roles on stage in her early days were: "Gilmer" in Godspell, "Virginia" in The Canterville Ghost, "Agnes" in The Beautiful People, playing a Bathing Beauty in IRT's production of Skin of Our Teeth, a nun in Sound of Music, and as "Mrs. Bailey" in Its A Wonderful Life, George Bailey.

After completely surrendering her talents for the Lord, she started singing in weddings and small concerts around Indianapolis. After she married, she was part of a Worship Team and Choir in their local church before starting to dive into directing Christian Youth Musical productions as a Children's Pastor. While she and her husband Doug raised and home schooled their two children, they started AOTM Purity Youth Group and traveling Drama Troupe, which is in its 14th year.

In this season of life, she has served as Assistant Director and Devotions leader for Agape Theatre Company's beautiful production of Les Miserables in 2017. She has begun to dabble in Freelance Writing and is a creative writer for Wisdom's Gate Magazines. She has moved from just writing and directing youth productions to being back on stage in a few roles in Christian Musicals -- her favorites include "Anna" in Come Messiah Come, and "Mrs. Tidings" in Joy Story 2, which she wrote and directed. She is honored to sing on stage again in this production of Grace Beyond Humanity.

Charla Stoneking

Charla was in two school plays, but her favorite role was “Maggie Anderson” in the musical Brigadoon because she was able to dance. However, piano and percussion were her main studies. Besides a college class in acting and enjoying theater productions at Ball State University, she enjoyed directing children’s plays while raising her own four children.

In 2018, she finally found her niche as an actress in preparation for Launch Showcase in Chicago, last November through which she landed a contract with NYMMG. Her first film role was in Three Corners of Deception, still in production, and her first commercial was taped in October for Comcast Spotlight, Indy.

Charla is grateful to Susannah and Zachary Francis for giving her the opportunity to be “Paulena” in Grace Beyond Humanity.

Jacqueline Wheat

I have always enjoyed acting-up! And so, every chance I get, schedule permitting, I take.

I come from a family of six children, and I am smack-dab-in-the-middle; two of my brothers are older than myself and my two sisters are both younger than me, and then there’s the baby of the family, the youngest brother.

I’ve made my contribution to the world of humans as well. I have three sons, and have been married to Mr., who is the biological father of them all. Mr. and I have been married for thirty-seven years this past April, 2019. And the Cherry-on-The-Top in life for me are my three GRAND-sons! They are the perfect ending to any day.

I am dually employed as a Health Care Worker at a local hospital here in Indy, and I am a business owner. I bake The BEST Mexican Wedding Cakes (cookies) in the City!—where ever that city might be.

One word to describe me would be: hospitable, resilient, merciful, kind, fun, confident, flexible…wait a minute, that’s more than one word—oh well, math was never my strong suit.
