About Us

P.S. 75 Emily Dickinson is a neighborhood public elementary school on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We set high expectations for academic excellence and provide quality education to a community whose rich diversity mirrors that of our city. We are committed to helping each of our children perform at or above grade-level in literacy, math, science and social studies.

At PS75, children of all backgrounds and abilities learn together. This diversity fosters respect and inclusion and prepares our students to be confident, responsible citizens of the community and the world.

Art, music and technology are integral parts of our academic program. Our children’s lessons are enriched by a wide variety of special experiences offered by some of New York City’s leading cultural institutions.

PS75 believes that the active participation of families is essential to their children’s academic and social success. Parents are welcomed as partners in the learning process. Our energetic and well-organized PTA encourages family involvement and support for the school throughout the year.

Together with our principal, George Georgilakis, the administration at PS75 includes two full-time assistant principals, a parent coordinator, and two guidance counselors as well as social workers, speech, occupational, and physical therapists to assist in the smooth, day-to-day functioning of the school.
