Design Methodology for Intelligent Systems

Design methodologies suffer from various new issues as we face a new era for intelligent systems such as deep learning. DATES focuses on the intelligent systems to provide state-of-the-art design methodologies.

Memory Architecture Research for Deep Learning and Big Data System

Memory architecture becomes more critical in deep learning operations and big data system. To cope with new requirements such as speed, power, bandwidth and so on, DATES researches on opportunities of memory architectures. This not only includes conventional architectures, but also next generation memories and their architectures.

Error Resilient Design

As process technology shrinks, designs have become susceptible to external noises, process variations and etc. Our research group researches on the design robustness and design quality for depenable system operation. ECC (Error Correcting Codes) in memory or an architecture for error resilient system is a main focus in our research.

Hardware Security

Nowadays, for secure operation, hardware security is an important issue in many areas such as IoT devices and autonomous vehicles. DATES studies PUF (Physical Unclonable Function) and related recent research for improving security level to prevent the malicious access.
