KMB 2024 Winter Symposium (Jan. 24-25, 2024. Jeju)
At the KMB 2024 Winter Symposium, we presented our ongoing studies and attended sessions on various fields of microbiology & biotechnology, including cultured meat. Since we tested black pork, a Jeju specialty, as a control group, the next step is to compare it with the experimental group, cultured black pork!
MSK 2023 (Oct. 25-27, 2023. Yeosu)
We attended the MSK 2023's International Meeting to share our study results and make poster presentations. Miri received a Best 🏅 in the poster presentation. Congratulations! 🎉👍🎉

Selected for oral presentation at ASM MICROBE 2023 ! (Feb. 2023)
The abstract that Doyeon and Minsik submitted to ASM MICROBE 2023, the annual meeting of the American Society for Microbiology, has been selected for oral presentation at the In Depths Symposium. Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉
Doyeon will present our study on the development of engineered Cronobacter sakazakii phage at the asm meeting in Houston, Texas, USA, on June 16.
(You know what? ASM is the largest global conference with more than 31,000 microbiologist members from around the world!)

Minsik and Doyeon attended the MSK 2022 International Meeting of the Microbiological Society of Korea held in Jeju. Doyeon awarded a Best Poster Presentation 🏅 by presenting her 🧪🧬🧫 on the Engineered phage! 🎉🎉🎉
KoSFoST 2022 (Jul. 6-8, 2022. Busan)
Minsik and Doyeon visited Busan to attend the KoSFoST 2022 International Symposium and Annual Meeting. Doyeon presented her 🧪🧬🧫 on the development of reporter phage for Cronobacter sakazakii detection, and she won the 1st 🏅 in a Graduate Student Outstanding Paper Competition! 👍 & 🎉

We attended the KMB 2022 Annual Meeting and International Conference. We gave talks and did poster presentations on our study.

Seongmin Lee got a M.S. degree and had a graduation ceremony. A biting cold didn't matter because of the warm hearts from lab mates.
Hanbin Seol joined our research team as a M.S. course student, and Gio Kim also started her experience in our lab as linked B.S.-M.S. course student.

Although the bacterial growth was significantly retarded by the phages, the growth of resistant mutant was resumed thereafter.
