Check the National/Wiltshire Draws. If it is a 'Play By' date and you are home, then you need to contact your opponent with 3 dates. If it is 'Play On' and you have a problem with this, then you can rearrange earlier if you both agree..

KIT

The document, "Club and County Clothing Guidance Issued: June 2023", was introduced, and it was agreed to follow this guidance immediately. The main points being: 

"Players have the freedom to choose to wear trousers, culottes, skirts, skorts or shorts on an individual basis, with no requirement to wear the same item as other players in their team, as long as all members of the same team/side wear the same colour or design below the waist. 

Any additional items such as waterproofs, long-sleeved base layers, leggings or similar items do not need to match your club/county colours. This aims to reduce the pressure for bespoke club/county wear and put participation, accessibility and comfort at the centre of our sport."

The committee, in previous discussions about kit, decided to keep the present design and have ordered some new shirts. Any decision about further kit changes need to be discussed by the whole membership and will be included at the next AGM.

The new season is starting with a Pay and Clean Day on April 6th.

The sign up section of the website also has a new look, after feedback from a number of members. Hopefully we have addressed most of the previous concerns.

All members, apart from two new members who I don't have emails for, should now have received an email which will have their PIN for signing up to matches from the Members Area page of the website. It will show the Google Account email address that I have, which will allow them access. It will also have their details for the handbook. If anything is incorrect, please let me know!

If you have not received yours, firstly check your spam folder. and if it's not there the email address I have is obviously not correct, so please let me know.

Bowls Wiltshire Members System – Invitation to become a User.

Dear Member

Hopefully you will have heard that Bowls Wiltshire has introduced a Members Online System whereby members are able to input their information directly if they so wish. There is already a minimum level of information in the system for every member of Bowls Wiltshire, this is as detailed in our Privacy Policy, which can be viewed on the Bowls Wiltshire website, where there is also a link to the members system – righthand tab.

Personal Information

In addition to the basic information already provided, individuals can add further personal information if they wish to.

Competitions

Your Bowls England National Championship and Bowls Wiltshire County Competition entries are added to the system by your club.

Once the draws have been made you will be able to view them in the BW Online System, add/amend team members, enter your own results, see who your opponent/s is/are and view their contact details. There will still be a Competition Controller for each area.

Matches

You will be able to apply online for matches for which you are eligible. Once selected you will receive an email confirming your selection, be able to confirm your availability, add any visitors who require meals, see who else is playing and obtain details of how to pay for your matches. This worked very well in 2023 for the Men’s County Friendly matches. There will still be Match Officers.
