The Poe Project Presents

This Year’s Copper Club event will be a Podcast! Last year we had but few join us to read at the Open Mic, yet we enjoyed sitting there chatting in front of the microphone for the audience, so now we’re going to live stream it! You can expect a little readings here and there of Edgar Allan Poe's work, some talk about Beer, some talk about the words Poe uses, facts and myths, and whatever else it is we get on about.

Your hosts this year are Ann and Kristian Hartter, the hosts of the dinner party in 2011 that first brought local scholars, enthusiasts, and fans of Edgar Allan Poe together around candlelight to have this same kind of discussion.

Kristian has hosted many a radio show about beer and beer enthusiasm, as well as serving as public relations officer for the brew club for years at its launch.

Ann has spearheaded much of the official Poe Project since 2016, dressed as Poe and playing Poe-Facts trivia on the streets with passers by, coaching readings of his work, organizing people who are inspired by his writings to read their own fiction aloud.

The Poe Project is a month-long festival springing off with Poe Week from October 1st through 7th annually, culminating on the date of Edgar Allan Poe's death. We invest in our community by giving a portion of the proceeds from each and every event to the local non-profit of the sponsor’s choice. The Poe Project is spearheaded and presented by Geek Parties of the Grand Valley. The sponsor of Poe Beer Podcast is Copper Club Brewing in Fruita, Colorado. Donations and funds raised during this event will go to the charity of their choice.
