Executive Role - Treasurer

  • Prepare a budget.

  • Attend two District 21 training sessions: June/July and Dec/January.

  • Manage the club bank account.

  • Obtain exec council authorization for expenses. (Ask for blanket authorization for specific and cumulative dollar amounts as per budget.)

  • File receipts for expenses; issue cheques.

  • Manage signing authorities.

  • Prepare bank reconciliation and monthly reports and post to Google Drive/Toastmasters/OBTM Board/Treasurer's Committee.

  • Collect renewals and submit to TI on March 31 and September 31.

  • Obtain member applications from VP Membership, register at TI, and forward fees to TI. Accept application forms, ensure that they are properly filled out and signed by applicant and club officer.

  • Order supplies, ( pins, manuals etc) as requested by VP Membership or other execs.

  • Obtain Board approval for all extraordinary expenses.

  • Cut cheques (e-transfers) on Coast Capital Account for expenses paid out of treasurer’s own resources (M/C, VISA, ETC.). Obtain two signatures (not the treasurer’s) to authorize such cheques.
