We will be focusing on the Middle to Far East, the America's, or any other non European culture that was in contact with Western Europe in our period.
Classes Offered
Introduction to Kumihimo (Dame Morwenna Trevethan)
The basic round braid, used for everything from shoe laces and hair ties to kingdom medallion cords.

Flat Braid Kumihimo: Chevron (Dame Morwenna Trevethan)
Move beyond the standard round braid and learn how to do a chevron-pattern flat braid on a modern foam disk.
Duration: 1 hour

Move beyond the standard round braid and learn how to do a plaid braid on a modern foam disk.

This will be an introduction to the tools and techniques of cookig in a wok, which can not only be used at home, but is very well suited for event camping.
Respectful Research: Appreciation vs Appropriation (Sensei Mizuno Sakami and Lady Hextilda Violet MacLean)
This class will be a discussion on how to research and portray a persona from a culture that is not your own.
