This course offers the rationale for applying certain models to community and public sector managerial problems, assists students in the application of such models and guides students in the interpretation of results. This course offers the rationale for applying certain models to managerial problems, assists students in the application of such models and guides students in the interpretation of results. The course includes basic quantity techniques used in managerial decision making. The topics covered include: linear programming, queuing, network analysis, inventory models and decision making under uncertainty.
Projects
Korean-American Vote Registration in 2021 (LINK)
KACE (Korean American Civic Engagement) in collaboration with NJCU's SCDAT Lab analyzed the Korean-American voter registration information in New York in 2021.
In New Jersey, Korean American voting registration analysis in 2021 (LINK).
Interactive maps were used for visual analytics. The voting registration and voting history were grouped by County (County FIPS), Cities, Age Group, and Party.
The raw data was available from Korean-American Civic Empowerment (KACE); the county-zip code reference tables were downloaded from CDC and US Census Bureau.
Tableau's Dashboard was utilized for visualization.
