Snacks

Please send a snack with your child each day. We will have snack time at 1:40 each day. If providing a snack is difficult, please let me know and we can come up with a solution!

Here are some guidelines for sending in snack

  • Any fresh vegetables (i.e. carrots, string beans, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.)
  • Whole grain, low sugar cereals (i.e. Cheerios, Kix, Life, etc.)
  • Pretzels
  • Chewy or crunchy granola bars
  • Animal crackers
  • Graham crackers
  • Goldfish
  • Cheese-its
  • Basically anything that is considered on the healthy side...

Please refrain from sending fresh fruit, drinks or other food that would need to be eaten in a hard floor surface area. We eat our snack in the classroom on the carpet.

Water: Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle that has a tight fitting cap. At the end of each week I will remind them to bring their bottles home to be washed.
