Modify your ECU for MPFlash
In order to install the MPFlash module, you need to do some work to the ECU board. With all ECU's you will remove the factory chip, and some further additional work described on the ECU specific pages.
!Caution!: Be sure to practice appropriate personal protection when working on the ECU boards, and soldering. The electronics potting compound used is nasty stuff and very harmful when off-gassing or being vaporized during heating/soldering. You are responsible for your own protection, so doing any of the work below is AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Identify Your ECU Type
1987-1989 Logic board pictured.
ECU housing contained the logic board with the power board on top of it.
60way connector and a 14 way connector for the power board.
1990-1991 Single Board Engine Controller pictured.
Single board, turbo has 3 heat sinks on top of it.
60way connector only.
