Kid's Learn to Sail Week
MHYC's 1-week Learn to Sail Camp is the perfect way for kids 8-13 who like being outside and on the water to try our program and learn about boating and sailing. Learn important beginning boating fundamentals and water safety. Experience kayaks, small dinghy sailboats, large sailboats and powerboats on Lake Erie and the protected Mentor Harbor. The week-long camp is run by experienced, certified, professional sailing instructors who will guarantee fun. No boating experience required. Simply bring a lifejacket, closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, and lunch.

July 29-August 2, 2024 (Registration will stay open until July 15)
Drop off at MHYC 10a-2p Fee: $375 community, $325 members

Bussing Options - *Must register directly with Hawken or US*
Families who live in Cuyahoga county or elsewhere have two great options. You can drop off at 9am and pick up at 3pm at either of the following locations. Both Hawken and University School offer a robust set of other summer camps, too!
Hawken School Summer Passport Camp in Lyndhurst Drop off at 9am and pick up at 3pm at Hawken School's Lyndhurst campus REGISTER HERE with Hawken School (look for Sail Camp under Passport options)
University School Summer Explorer Camp in Shaker Heights. Drop off at 9am and pick up at 3pm at University School's Shaker Heights campus. REGISTER HERE with University School (look for Sailing Camp under Outdoor Adventure options).
