District Uniform Policy

#5511

Students will be expected to follow the Board of Education's approved district uniform policy for the 21 - 22 school year. The District will be dedicating ourselves to returning to as many traditional ("usual") procedures and protocols as we safely can. The Lindenwold Board of Education's policy, approved in December 2017, is shared below. (Próximamente traducción al español.)

UNIFORM INFORMATION:

● The District will continue to follow the District Policy which requires the wearing of a District Uniform. More information can be found on our District Reopening Website.

● Since students will not be changing for gym, students may wear their gym uniforms to school on gym days. However, on non-gym days, students must wear the traditional uniform as outlined in the policy.

● Sweatshirts (Gr. K-12) and sweatshirts with hoods (Gr. 5 – 12) may be worn if students are cold in air-conditioned rooms. However, all sweatshirts must be “school appropriate” in messaging and graphics. The District encourages sweatshirts to reflect school colors if possible. The administration has the right to require students to remove sweatshirts deemed “inappropriate” for school. Under no circumstances may students wear the hoods of their sweatshirts up and on their heads at any time.

● The sweatshirt and sweatshirt with hoods exemption will be revisited by the Board of Education in 2022.
