2018 Orff Piano Teacher's Workshop
In January Kimberley attended a Professional Development Day at the Sydney Conservatorium involving the use of Orff Schulwerk principles in piano teaching - this technique focuses on the use of rhythm, movement and singing in learning music. It was a fun and informative day, culminating in a group performance of an AMEB grade work, incorporating some of the techniques learnt through the workshop.

AMEB Written Exams
Congratulations to Katya who received an amazing mark of 99/100 for her 2nd Grade Musicianship exam which she sat in June. This is a truly excellent result - well done Katya!
Wollongong Eisteddfod 2017
Congratulations to Henry on his Highly Commended in the exceptionally competitive 9 years and under section of Wollongong Eisteddfod this year, with a mark of 92.
Shoalhaven Eisteddfod 2017
Congratulations to Henry on his Highly Commended in the very competitive Grades 3 & 4 section at the recent Shoalhaven Eisteddfod.

Congratulations to Cherry on passing her 8th Grade exam - quite an achievement! Cherry is now looking forward to moving onto her Diploma repertoire.
Junior Music Festival 2016
Congratulations to Katya on her Highly Commended in the very competitive Late Intermediate (Grades 5-6) section of the Illawarra Music Teachers' Association Junior Music Festival. Katya was also lucky enough to meet the composer of the piece she performed, Illawarra local Mark Matthews, and received some valuable insight and tips from him on her playing. Well done Katya!
2016 September MTA Concert

Shoalhaven Eisteddfod 2016
A huge congratulations to Henry on his First Place at Shoalhaven Eisteddfod in the up to Grade 2 section, with a mark of 86.5. Henry also achieved a Highly Commended in the 8 Years and Under section, with a mark of 86.5.

Junior Music Festival 2015
Congratulations to the following students on their results in this years' Illawarra Branch Music Teachers' Association Junior Music Festival:
- Henry - 2nd Place in the Elementary (Grades 1 + 2) section - 90
- Katya - Highly Commended in the Intermediate (Grades 3 + 4) section - 84
Katya was also the recipient of the Illawarra Folk Festival Summer School Scholarship, which was decided from all performers of all levels across the entire day. Congratulations!
