Exhibit 3

Exhibit 3

For this exhibit, I decided it would be a good idea to create a business card for my small business. I consulted with a friend to create this card and find the right way to showcase my business. The company is called oui chef and contrary to what you might think, it is not a cooking business. Chef is actually a french derived word that means boss or chief. You might be surprised to know that it actually has nothing to do with food! I wanted to create a clean, professional, yet fun look to inspire customers and advertise for my business.

Contrast- I decided to go with a light pink back layer to help the bright red font. This helped ground the design and give it a richness as well.

Repetition- The red font color is carried throughout the entire card both front and back. While the logo is in all upper case lettering, the back of the card and contact information is all in lowercase.

Proximity- The logo stands alone both on the front and back of the card. The contact information is neatly placed in the lower right hand corner. to help balance the look, I put turned the "i" from "Oui Chef" upside down and created an exclamation in a light pink layer. I placed this in the top right corner. I decided to keep the lower left corner free of any design to prevent an over designed look.

Color- A mix of both light and blush pink was used as the background color and was carried throughout the back of the card as well with the exclamations. Red brings brightness and intriguing contrast to the eye.
