Summary: building machine learning models for predicting dropout student risk - for techinical degree students at IFSC - and developing of a computational tool to implement the predictive model to help managers to better control student dropout rates.

(Pilot Project) Computational Methods Applied to Tax Inspection

Summary: pilot project of a partnership formed by the Serra Catarinense Intermunicipal Consortium (CISAMA), the Intelligent Data Analysis (IDA) research group of the Santa Catarina Federal Institute (IFSC), Campus Lages, and the Federal Revenue Office in Lages, with the purpose of developing computational methods to assist in decision-making processes associated with tax inspection.

Time Series Prediction using Machine Learning Methods

Summary: study and analyze the influence of the parameters and apply the kNN-TSP forecasting method to artificial and real data, and also develop methods and techniques to improve the performance of this algorithm.
