Virtual Learning

Virtual Learning

Due to concerns over Covid-19, I will be using Google Classroom as the main platform for ALL MY CLASSES, regardless if we are in a virtual world or face-to-face. Students MUST JOIN the Google Classroom for their class. I have included links DIRECTLY to my classrooms below. I have also provided the classroom codes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I perform in this class?

Yes! You will be REQUIRED to perform onstage in front of classmates and others. If performing in front of others is scary to you, that's ok! Part of my goal for my students is to help them develop this skill, as presenting in front of others is an essential skill for most careers. I won't throw you on the stage the first day, but this is something we will work towards.

What if I don't want to perform?

Like I said, I think this is an essential skill to learn, so I suggest you take the class and try it. Who knows, you might have a lot of fun! BUT, if you are really against performing, but are still interested in theatre, I suggest you take a Technical Theatre class. Learn more about technical theatre here.

Do I need this class to graduate?

You need a certain number of elective and fine arts courses in order to graduate, however, you may find theatre arts is not the right fit for you. Don't suffer through material you don't like, it won't make the experience easier for anyone in class, particularly yourself. Talk to your guidance counselor and let them know the class is not for you.

How do I get involved in productions?

We have productions throughout most of the year and we are ALWAYS looking for people to participate. Whether you're interested in being on stage or behind the scenes, we have a place for you! Fill out this google form to let us know you're interested!
