Dr. Jose E. Ruiz Sarrió

Senior Postdoc Researcher

Dr. Jose Enrique Ruiz Sarrió was born in Valencia, Spain in 1992. He received a double M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and in Electrical Engineering from UPV and Politecnico di Milano respectively, in 2018. He was awarded with the PhD degree from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2022. Moreover, he was involved in the H2020 MSCA research project INTERACT which included Siemens Industry Software NV, Leuven, Belgium as an industrial partner in his PhD track, where he worked as an associate researcher for two years. He was awarded with the Jorma Luomi Award in ICEM2022. His main research interests include high-frequency phenomena, fault diagnosis and condition monitoring in Electrical Machines and Drives. 

Vicente Biot-Monterde

Researcher- PhD Student

Vicente Biot Monterde got his degree on Industrial Engineering (specialty electricity), at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV), in 2010. After some years working in the industrial sector, he is now working as Head of the Rolling Stock Department in the Agència Valenciana de Seguretat Ferroviària (AVSF), for the regional government of Valencia. Besides, since 2021 he is working towards his PhD at the UPV. 



Angela Navarro-Navarro

Researcher- PhD Student

Angela Navarro-Navarro obtained her Master's degree in Industrial Engineering in 2021. She is currently working in the electrical engineering department of the Universitat Politècnica de València helping in the research in the area of condition monitoring of electric motors. He is doing his PhD in the area of electric motor monitoring, in particular, in synchronous reluctance motors. Her main interests include predictive maintenance of electric motors.



Dr. Israel Zamudio-Ramirez

Postdoc Researcher - external collaborator

Dr. Israel Zamudio-Ramírez received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechatronics both from the Autonomous University of Queretaro, Mexico in 2019, and 2023, respectively, and the Ph. D. degree in Electrical Engineering, from the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain in 2023. He received the ICEM Jorma Luomi Student Forum award in Valencia, Spain in 2022, for his contributions in electric motors fault diagnosis area and competence displayed. His research interests include monitoring and diagnosis of electrical machines, and signal processing for engineering applications and its implementation on FPGA. He has been involved in industry-related projects and investigations during the Ph.D. for the condition monitoring of electrical machines.




Dr. Larisa Dunai

Associate Professor

 Dr. Larisa Dunai  Associate Professor at UPV, obtained her MSc degree in Electronic Engineering in 2003 from Technical University of Moldova and a Master degree in Electronic Engineering in 2004 at the same university. After obtaining the MSc degree joined the Technical University of Moldova as Assistant professor at the Radio electronics and Telecommunications Department. In 2007 she started working as a researcher in the Research Center in Graphic Technology (CITG) of the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia. In November 2008 she joined the UPV as an Assistant professor of Graphic Design Department. In 2010 obtained her PhD at Universitat Politècnica de València. In 2013 she received the MIT Innovators Award for Spain and in 2014 the Michael Richey Medal from Royal Institute of Navigation.





Prof. Roque A Osornio-Rios

Full Professor - External collaborator

    Roque Alfredo Osornio-Rios received the Ph.D. degree in mechatronics from the Autonomous University of Queretaro, Queretaro, Mexico, in 2007. He is a National Researcher level 3 with the Mexican Council of Science and Technology, CONACYT. He is currently a Head Professor with the Department of Mechatronics, University of Queretaro. He is an Advisor for more than 80 theses, and has co-authored more than 100 technical papers published in international journals and conferences. His research interests include hardware signal processing and mechatronics. Dr. Osornio-Rios is a Fellow of the Mexican Academy of Engineering. He is part of the editorial board of Journal and Scientific and Industrial Research. He is IEEE Senior Member.






Dr. Miguel Enrique Iglesias Martinez

   Miguel Enrique Iglesias Martínez received a degree in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering from the University of Pinar del Río (UPR) in 2008 and a Master's Degree in Digital Systems from the Technological University of Havana, Cuba, in 2011. In 2020 he received his doctorate in Mathematics at Universitat Politècnica de València, obtaining the extraordinary prize for the best thesis in the area of science. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher of the "Margarita Salas" Program, of the Ministry of Universities of the Government of Spain, assigned to the School of Aeronautical and Space Engineering of the University of Vigo. He is also an associate researcher in the Interdisciplinary Modeling Group, InterTech (www.intertech.upv.es) of the University Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics at the Universitat Politècnica de València. His areas of research interest are signal processing, noise analysis and information extraction, condition monitoring as well as pattern recognition systems.







 PHD GRADUATE

    Vincent Becker received his B.Eng. in Energy Efficient Systems, his M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, in 2015 and 2018 respectively and his Ph. D. degree in Industrial Engineering and Production from the Universitat Politècnica de València in 2022. The doctoral thesis was entitled "Current-based Techniques for Condition Monitoring of Pumps". 

   He has been working for five years at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern in various research projects in the field of rotating machines. Currently he works as a Electrical Signature Analysis Specialist at Samotics, Netherlands.
